An open local workflow

Image to video.
On your Mac.

A small, reproducible LTX-Video integration: one image, four diffusion steps and a real output. Built around the limits of 16 GB unified memory.

Local execution only. This page hosts source, instructions and a recorded example. It is not an online video generator.

An actual inference output

This MP4 is AI-generated content created locally using Lightricks LTX-Video from a procedural geometric input. Motion is minimal; this verifies execution, not cinematic quality. No audio. View input · Download output

One heavy stage at a time

  1. Prepare text. Convert official T5 weights to BF16, then Q8; encode the prompt and save a checked handoff.
  2. Condition the image. Run the VAE encoder, save the image latent, then exit the process.
  3. Generate motion. Load the DiT and run four steps from the two conditioning caches.
  4. Decode and package. Exit the DiT process, decode 49 frames with the VAE, then encode H.264 with FFmpeg.

Small scope. Visible limitations.

This is a low-resolution, silent clip. The decoder's measured MLX allocation peak is about 12.57 GB; total system memory can be higher. Close other heavy applications and run one job at a time.

The historical 25.76-second result reused text and image caches with a different input. It does not include their preparation and is not comparable to the cold workflow above. Read the timing definitions and logs.

Neural Zero contributes integration and documentation. The foundation model is Lightricks LTX-Video; the backend is baisampayans/ltx-mlx. Weight licenses are separate from this integration's Apache-2.0 license.
